Years ago, when I wanted to engage my psychic gifts more fully and enhance them, I realized this was going to require a lot of work to do this and to understand intuition more. I chose to embrace the task but to approach it in small steps so I could observe my progress and not feel overwhelmed. I began to notice what I noticed. I put the words, “NOTICE WHAT YOU NOTICE” on my calendar and on my computer monitor. I kept a small spiral notebook with me to record impressions I received internally and things I noticed in my world externally. When I realized how strong my intuitive sense was, I wanted to increase my awareness of it and take it to new levels.
I didn’t want to make this a difficult task, yet I wanted to prioritize it as I knew using my intuition on an ongoing basis and helping others use their intuition was part of my life’s work. This wasn’t initially a conscious choice. There were other types of work I could have done, other types of work I thought at the time I would have preferred to do. In fact, I fought it for a while. There were a lot of other highly psychic people out there to help others embark upon their intuitive journeys. However, as I soon discovered, life reveals to us the work we were born to do and puts people, life events and experiences in our life to get our attention and to encourage us to perform this work, but we have to NOTICE these things to receive the message. Is your life’s work revealed to you when you initially inquire about it? Sometimes it is, but with a lot of people it isn’t. That’s okay. If you’re someone who’s still searching for what you came here to do, you’re in good company. With all the psychic clutter and distractions in society, at least in the Western world, it can take a while to break through this interference, open your mind to clearing out old thought patterns, change the patterns and tap into your intuitive resources.
There’s an easy way to determine if you’re not yet performing the work you came here to do. If you’re currently employed at a job outside your home, how happy are you there performing your assigned tasks? Notice what you notice. If you’re not happy at least 51% of the time, you’re probably looking at other options. I hope you’re looking for other options. If you hate what you’re doing, notice this. Do the work to determine what you would rather be doing with your time. Use your imagination. If money were not a consideration, if all your needs for you and your family would be met, how would you spend your time? This is the beginning of the discovery process for many.
Now switch your thoughts to money. How often are your thoughts and resultant behavior influenced by it? Look around you. Notice what you notice. How often do you think others’ thoughts and resultant behavior are affected by it? What words do you use and hear others use about it? What is the overwhelming perception of it that you witness? Money and its effects on our lives are ubiquitous and have been for centuries. Notice the effects of it on your life. To successfully utilize and strengthen our intuition, we need to examine our thought patterns, change the ones that aren’t serving us, and replace them with more empowering ones. Toxic thought patterns can block our intuitive progress, particularly fearful though patterns. Since money affects us all on a daily basis in powerful ways, each one of us needs to look at our thought patterns regarding money. Examine them. Take in information from different sources. Then use your intuition to ascertain what needs to be discarded and what are your best replacement options. Mark Passio has some mind-blowing, interesting discussions on money. He covers his topics extensively and comprehensively, so it’s best to study his work starting at Podcast #1 and moving on in order, but a couple of his discussions on money can be found at Podcasts #89 and #90.
Notice what you notice about some of the major things in your life. Take fifteen minutes out of your day today. Turn off your electronic devices and sit in silence and ask for guidance on one of these areas. Don’t try to get every aspect of your life figured out in this short period of time. It’s taken a while to get where you are now. Invest time in yourself to work on important issues, one at a time. You’re worth it. At the end of this time period, if you received some information you can use immediately, great. If you quieted your mind but didn’t receive any answers yet, great. You quieted your mind which is key in developing your intuition. This is a process. Take fifteen minutes tomorrow and ask for guidance again on your issue. We can all take fifteen minutes a day to work on ourselves, to improve our lives. Anyone who says he or she can't commit to fifteen minutes a day doesn't want to do the work or doesn't want to change. That's okay. It's a choice we can choose to make or choose not to make. For those of you investing fifteen minutes of time each day on yourself, notice what you notice and be persistent. If it takes a few days or more before you receive any information, that’s okay. Be patient. It can take a while to free yourself from your mind and its voluminous amount of incorrect, outdated and often toxic information and open up your channel to the metaphysical world.
